Scottish Goverment has a range of benefits that can be applied for:
Families who meet the criteria and are eligible to apply will receive a payment of £10 per child, per week (equivalent to £520 per year) and payment will be made on a four-weekly basis. There are no limits to the number of children per family who can receive this benefit.
Edinburgh School Uniform Bank provides free new school uniform to children and young people who are referred by a professional who knows the family. This could be a teacher or support worker at school, a health visitor, a family support worker or social worker, a youth worker, a Maximise worker or someone similar. At Stockbridge Primary, our Pupil Support Assistant, Mrs Murrell, helps families with applications for a variety supports. Take a look at the website to find out more: www.edinburghuniform.org
The Uniform Bank also provides batches of excellent quality nearly-new school uniform to schools and community groups for them to pass on to local families. This could be through a swap shop, a sharing rail, a pop-up uniform event or something similar, depending on covid restrictions.

The Edinburgh Police Fund for Children
Who is eligible for assistance from the Edinburgh Police Fund for Children?
A family with school age children who are resident in Edinburgh and meet the application criteria can apply for a grant/voucher from the Fund. Please get in touch if you would like our PSO, Mrs Murrell, to help with an application to the Edinburgh Police Fund.
